Maybelline Master Strobing Stick Swatches

The new Maybelline products are popping up in Walmart across the US, and will be released soon in Canada.  Today I’d like to share some swatches of the Master Strobing Stick and a quick first impression. Strobing is the technique of highlighting the face to add dimension. The strobe effect creates the look of skin that appears radiant as if lit from within.  There are 2 shades available #100 Light Iridescent and #200 Medium Nude Glow.

The shades are very pretty and swatch smooth and creamy.  They also blend out very nicely on the skin.  They do have a nice hint of sheen and are not chunky or rough, because they have micro-fine pearls that give the skin a nice glow and highlight.  Personally I think they have the perfect amount of highlight, without going over the top.  They don’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin, and that’s because of their lightweight texture.

Light Iridescent is ideal for light skin tones, with a pinky pearl shade, while the Medium Nude Glow shade is ideal for medium to deep skin tones, with a peachy nude shade.  There are 3 ways to “master” Strobing (as per Maybelline):

  1. To enhance cheeks – highlight top of cheekbones. a7311e5e-9b5d-48f3-989d-33aac05bb56c.jpg._CB272654480__SL300__
  2. To accentuate features – spotlight center of face. e634368c-3a83-404c-9e75-f1b9fdd2bdea.jpg._CB273782396__SL300__
  3. To brighten eye area – spotlight brow bone and inner corner. ef8a9c7c-1411-4a5f-ab6f-54973c507538.jpg._CB273782349__SL300__

I’m definitely impressed!  Anyone else see them, have them or plan on getting any??  There are so many new Maybelline products launching, so stay tuned for more!
