Vichy’s Scientists have identified a key time during the night called “deep sleep”, when our skins repair mechanism are more active with reconstruction. They have developed a recovery gel-balm which works along with your own night repairing skin process and strengthens the deep sleep repair mechanism of your skin. A bad nights sleep results in your skin loosing all the benefits of a deep sleep and therefore decreasing the amount of skin repair resulting in dull, tired looking skin to say the least!
While you’re sleeping, Vichy’s Idealia Skin Sleep Repair Night Gel-Balm, promises to restore your skin with its active complex formula which contains Vitamin B12, hyaluronic acid, repairing oils and LHA.
The cream comes in a pretty light pink shade within a pink jar. It has a very rich and balmy texture. You don’t need to use a lot of product as a little goes a long way. When first applied, it does feel slightly sticky, which subsides after about 5 minutes when the cream has been absorbed. It has a subtle, non-irritating scent of green tea and jasmine, which provides soothing properties for bedtime.
I am forever never getting enough sleep and I work shift work, so I was very interested in what kind of results I would get. I used this religiously for 2 weeks and am very impressed! I first noticed something different about my skin within a few days. My skin looked less dull, my foundation went on smoother, and my pores didn’t seem to be so pronounced. Could it be the Skin Sleep? Holy heck it was!! This stuff is good! Eventually my skin looks more plump, and rested. It feels smooth and more hydrated and definitely feel my pores aren’t as noticeable. This product is not cheap, as it retails for $52 Canadian, but it works so well and a little goes a long way. I was gifted these products from Chick Advisor, but this is my 100% honest opinion and I will purchase when I’ve used it all up. One thing to remember is that Shoppers Drug Mart sells Vichy products, so you can use your Optimum Points!
Vichy Idealia Life Serum works to combat behavioral aging which means the things we do that can effect our skin. For example, lack of sleep, bad diet, pollution, stress, hormonal imbalances etc…The life serum is applied before your moisturizer. It has the consistency of a light cream and absorbs quickly into the skin. It is non-greasy and doesn’t make your skin feel oily. During the day it works well as a primer and gives the skin a brighter complexion as it has tiny golden & pink reflecting sparkles within the serum. At night, it works in combination with the Repair Night Gel-Balm to combat aging & improve skin quality. After using for 2 weeks I have noticed that my pores look less visible, my skin tone has improved and my skin just looks better over all. A few times I have mixed it right in with my foundation to give my skin a hint of a summer glow! The serum retails for $59 Canadian, which is pricey. It was gifted to me from Chick Advisor and I am giving my 100% honest review. Will I buy it when it runs out? If I did, I would only use my Shoppers Optimum points to get it. I just feel that I would prefer to purchase the Idealia Skin Sleep Repair Night Gel-Balm instead of the serum. Not that I thought the serum didn’t perform well, rather I feel the cost for both is quite high and I really like the night cream and so would purchase it alone instead.
*Thank you to Vichy Canada and Chick Advisor for the opportunity to review these products. The above is my 100% honest opinion of the products*
