Maybelline has released The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette, exclusive to Walmart, for Spring 2015. Currently available both online and in store across the US, I am waiting to hear if, and when, it will be made available in Canada.
The palette consists of rose-hued neutrals, with a matte shadow and then a mix of satins and a couple of shimmers. There is much buzz about this palette being a pretty good dupe for The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I plan on doing a post comparing the two, so stay tuned for that!
This is the Fourth 12 eyeshadow palette released by Maybelline. Personally, I feel this is definitely the best of the four. I’m not sure if the formula has been changed, but these shadows are very pigmented, blend nicely, and wear very well. They also seem less dry then the shadows in the other palettes…..these feel more “buttery” and soft!
Here are swatches of the top row, left to right:
I absolutely love all these shades. Aren’t they gorgeous colours? They swatched beautifully, with the first 3 shades having a little fallout. The 4th shade is the matte shadow, which will make a great transition shade. The last 2 were so buttery and soft!
Now let’s take a look at the bottom row, left to right:
Nothing really unique about these shades. The dud of the group is the shade on the far left which is a shimmery dark plum. It is rather chalky and doesn’t swatch or wear as pretty as it looks in the pan.
Overall I think this is a really nice palette and my favourite of Maybelline’s 12 shadow palettes.
