L’Oreal Paris Collection Exclusive Pure Reds: Blake’s Pure Red

blog7 022Here’s a sneak peak at L’Oreal Canada’s upcoming Collection of Perfect Reds.  Inspired by a Celebrity Ambassador, they have designed a range of reds to compliment all skin tones.  Much like their successful permanent line of nude lipsticks, they have matched up shades to celebrities of all skin tones.

Every since I had spotted this new collection on Instagram, I have been waiting patiently.  But, I’m not a very patient person!  This collection was released in Europe last month, and so I turned to Ebay to get my hands on at least one lipstick, before it was released here in Canada.  I decided I wanted to get Blake’s Pure Red.

Behold…..the beauty that is Blake’s Red!!!  This is a beautiful blue toned, red.  It’s more suited for cooler or neutral skin tones.  It, along with the other shades, is a matte lipstick with a velvet texture.  The lipsticks, contain jojoba oil, and therefore are not at all drying, as a lot of matte lipsticks can be.  The pigmentation and wear of this lipstick is phenomenal!  It feels and wears like a luxury brand lipstick.

I am very excited for the release of this collection.  According to L’Oreal Canada, it will be very soon.  I was initially told the end of October, so keep your eyes peeled.  As for a US release, I have not heard any buzz about dates, or even if it will be available.  Could it be that Canadians are getting a collection release that won’t be available State side?  That would be a first.

Stay tuned for a review and swatches of the rest of the collection, that will include Nail Polish!!

Thanks for stopping by…..
