Maybelline The Nudes Palette

Maybelline has released a Nude Eyeshadow palette, that comes at an affordable drugstore cost, which will be, for a lot of beauty fans, a nice alternative to the more expensive Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes. It is available now in the US and is showing up at Walmart & Target.  It is slatted for a Canadian release in the Fall.  I was lucky enough to purchase this palette while in the US.  **Edit**  It has been spotted in Shoppers Drug Mart!!!!

It comes in a sleek black case with gold detail.  It consists of a mixture of 12 nude matte and shimmer eyeshadows.  On the back of the palette there are instructions on how to create 13 looks using the outlined quads, trios or duos, which is always helpful.

There is a nice range of cool and warm tones.  I can’t say the pigmentation is good for all the shades.  I found that the shimmer shades had better pay off than the mattes.  I would definitely recommend using a primer.  Actually, the new Color Tattoos from the Leather Collection, would work nicely as bases for these shadows.  Here are swatches with a primer used.

Overall it’s nice to see an affordable neutral palette.  The shadows are a bit hit and miss, but I noticed better payoff with a primer used.  At $9.99  US it’s a great buy, the Canadian price tag for this lady will be $14.99.

Anyone else have this palette?  What are your thoughts?  Will you be picking it up?

Thanks for stopping by & taking the time to read my blog.  I appreciate it!  Until next time,

Maybelline The Nudes Palette comes in a sleek black case with a window that showcases a mixture of 12 matte and shimmer eyeshadows. The palette retails for $9.99, I feel this is a great deal seeing as two quads can run almost over that much. On the back of the palette there are also diagrams that show how you can create 13 looks using quards, trios, or just duos of eyeshadows. – See more at:

Thanks for the update – I will try Shoppers Drug Mart. Can’t believe this might be available in Canada!
