On my recent trip to Shopper’s Drug Mart, I found this new collection from Essence, called Cookies & Cream. I was surprised because I was not expecting it….I wasn’t aware that there was a new release for Spring. This is such a gorgeous collection, and I grabbed a few things to take home with me! I surfed the net to learn more about the collection, and noticed that once again, Canada didn’t have the whole collection, that was released in Europe. But, I was happy with what was available. So, I’m not complaining 🙂
So here is my haul from the collection:
Let’s have a look at each item:
There were 4 nail polish released with this collection, but I chose just the one, Cake Pop That’s Top, as the peachy-coral color grabbed my attention. It applies very nicely, and has a metallic finish.
These are baked eye shadows, and my goodness they are gorgeous!! Not to mention that “Last Night A Cookie Saved My Life“, takes a prize for the Best. Name. Ever!!
The quality of these shadows are amazing. The feel so soft, are highly pigmented, and long lasting.
The lipgloss has a very fine iridescent sheen to it, which would look lovely over any color lipstick. It’s doesn’t feel sticky, and feels nice on the lips.
CakePop That’s Top! Baked Blush, is beautiful and definitely the clear favourite in this collection. A gorgeous hot coral shade, which is very pigmented. You need a light hand with this baby! It has a very small hint of shimmer. A very sad story…….I dropped this baby after taking the pics!! There’s only a trace of it left in the pan, so I’m definitely going to get another one because this color is amazing!
This eye shadow pencil is very soft and very pigmented. It’s great to use on its own, or used under a shadow.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this collection. The baked eyeshadows and the blush are my recommendations from this collection. I’d recommend skipping the polishes, just because I didn’t find the colors very unique or interesting.
Thanks for stopping by……..until next time!
