Oh look what Wet N Wild has gone and done…….releasing 3 beautiful Limited Edition Color-Icon Bronzer & Blushes for Summer 2014. Just looking at them I knew I had to get my hands on them. I was fortunate enough that my Sister-in-Law spotted them while out shopping and she picked 2 of them up for me. She lives in California and mailed them to unsuspecting me. Well, what a wonderful surprise!! Lets take a look…..
I just love the palm tree and sun design. Adds to the cuteness factor and the I gotta have them mind set. Well played Wet N Wild.
Hold Me Close consists of a pale yellow bronzer with slight sparkle, that works better as a highlighter because it is so light, and a matte pink blush. I found the blush to be difficult to swatch as it feels rather chalky & stiff. You”ll see more pics further down……
Dusk Till Dawn consists of a matte bronzer with good pigmentation and a peachy pink blush. Both the bronzer & blush have a satin finish, with no sparkle. This one swatched much easier than the previous.
Lets take compare the 2 bronzers & blushes…..
And then let’s look at the swatches of all…..
Here are the swatches of the bronzers & blushes mixed together:
It was very hard to get the Hold Me Close to show up…when swatched together, the blush is the dominant here, and the bronzer adds a sheen or highlight to it. I found it hard to get the blush to pick up because as I said before it feels chalky & difficult to pick up, be it with your brush or finger. It does have some fallout as well. This shade would be great for fair skin tones.
On the other hand, Dusk till Dawn has much better payoff, mostly because it is a darker shade. When swirled together, the bronzer is the dominant here and you loose most of the color of the blush….as it blends in with the bronzer, making it more of a reddened color. Personally, I love the blush in this one, and will definitely wear it alone, separately from the bronzer. This shade is perfect for medium skin tones.
Have you spotted them yet? Will you be picking some up? Let me know what you think & what you get.
Until next time…..thanks for stopping by!
