Continuing with the Spring theme…..I recently picked up some polishes from The Bloom Me Up Collection from Essence.
I love the fact that my local Shopper’s Drug Mart carries the releases from the Essence line, but….unfortunately, most of the time it is not the whole collection. It’s not Shopper’s fault, I think that it’s just released like that in Canada. From this collection I picked up some nail polish and a couple of eyeshadows. So let’s take a look…
Overall I do like the quality of these polishes. The Blow my Mint is a nice colour, but it was the most difficult to work with. It’s really thick & tricky to use. To my surprise, I ABSOLUTELY loved Blooming Tender. You can’t really see it in the pic, but, it has the nicest hint of shimmer to it, that is quite beautiful! I was on the look out for a lavender nail polish, so was happy to see Lovely Lavender. It also has a tint of sheen to it, and applies nicely.
I picked up 2 shadows from the line, but was not impressed with them 😦
I really don’t have anything good to say about Blow My Mint eyeshadow. It’s very chalky and has poor pigmentation. On the other hand, Rose Me Up does have better pigmentation and is less chalky, but still not too impressive. Overall, the shadows were a disappointment, which is unfortunate, as I have several eyeshadows from Essence that I really love.
Thanks for sharing time with me!
